Huge Bee Fly

Anthrax proconcisus

Notes:

This monstrous insect landed on me while I was hiking on Emu Mountain. It was huge. The wingspan was at least 5cm. I've never seen a fly this big - it scared the living daylights out of me when I saw it on my leg.
