Broussaisia arguta
Large shrubs/small trees four to ten feet tall with thick, prominently veined leaves and clusters of flowers of several different colors.
Tropical montane bog.
Spotted many individuals of this endemic Hawaiian hydrangea all along the Mt. Kaala trans-bog boardwalk. The undersides of their leaves were the habitat of several different mollusks, insects and arachnids.
