Whoa! What a caterpillar! It is a late instar.
There is this abandoned house that is now becoming covered by weeds and even trees...this one was on a broad leaf munching away. Second shot is when it was alarmed when I touched the leaf...so I let it be and took the first photo after it relaxed again. The third photo is when I first saw it.

So glad you got an ID...I always keep an eye open and have also found IDs to my own spottings from IDs posted by other members. Happy (more) spottings @ LeanneGardner.
