Spiral gall cluster

Eucalyptus spp

Description:

An unusual spiral shaped cluster of eucalyptus leaves which also show leaf galls embedded within. The whole branch tip had wilted.

Habitat:

Sports parkland on E. microcarpa.

Notes:

I will keep an eye on this over the next few months. It seems there might be more to this structure than just the galls....
2014-04-02... gone.
