Yes, well it is a botanic garden and those 19-20th Century botanists were collectors if anything...So much of the world's tropical flora and crops are now cosmopolitan in range...

Its funny to see these Heliconias so far... supously they are native from Central and South America. This specie in particular, is very common in Panama
