A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This grasshopper is very beautiful with red, yellow, orange, green and black coloring. It was seen several times; in the trees, on the rocks by the river and on a wall by an office. It was 5 to 6 cm long. Family Acrididae, Subfamily Gomphocerinae.
Tropical forest, dry season, Chorreadero Park, 10 km above Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.

Nice photo. I believe this is a Lubber Grasshopper, Romaleidae.
Looks like some sort of cricket.
