A little larva of a sawfly species suspending on a silk from a tree. Less than a centimeter in length. Black head with red&cream striped body. This hanging by a silk habit is common among small sawfly larva.
Plants in the forest of Bukit Gemuk (Fat Hill), Tawau, Sabah.

This is in fact my first colorful sawfly larva !
Most sawfly species larvae here are drab too
