Dark Judy

Abisara fylla

Description:

Brownish, medium size butterfly with a prominent pale band across the fore-wing, at first glance it appears like a Banded Tree Brown, but the rings are missing.

Habitat:

Under growth of thick forests by the side of a highway. Altitude: about 7,000ft.

Notes:

Went for a family drive this afternoon. At the stop everyone got busy looking around, doing something, children photographing, I got attracted to this butterfly on a plant swaying in the wind.
