"shaggy" is the key trait, no other ardeid of north america looks that shaggy. ALOT of the web pics are confusing. This Audobon link and the origianl Peterson's Field guide are the best pictures.
Legs are the wrong color for Little Blue and it would have blue around the face. This is a non-breeding Reddish Egret.
Great shot. I'm looking for one of these myself. So sighting yet in Naples.
