Description:

Looks like Oriental Gram Blue, a member of the blue family. Spotted it in the double road near Lake of Ullala upanagara. It is one of the common butterflies in that area and easy to be spotted. Thanks Daniel for the correction.

Hi PrashastiPrashantavanam! This is not a Common Three Ring (Ypthima asterope), and not one of the Nymphalidae, but a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae, sub-family Polyommatinae (Blues).
