Oena capensis

Description:

Small grey dove with a distinctively long tail, and two blackish spots on wing covers. Pictured here is male, with a conspicuous black mask. The tip of the bill is yellow, while its base is purple.

Habitat:

Seen close to the beach in Noaukchott, at the outskirts of the city. Semi-desert area, with some acacia and other shrubs.
