Small Asian Mongoose

Description:

small mammal native to parts of Asia. it was introduced into the Hawaiian Islands to try to stop the problem they were having with rats in their sugar cane crops, they didn't take into account that mongoose hunt during the day while rats are mostly nocturnal

Habitat:

saw this guy in Waianapanapa State Park while traveling the road to Hana.
