Anaea aidea
About 6cm wingspan, with upper wing side bright orange with dark markings along the edges; fore wings are pointy and curve backwards, hind wings are tailed. Underside is cryptic brown, resembling a dry leaf (picture #3). This guy was a very fast flyer and I was lucky to be able to take a few shots.
Found in El Cimatario nature park, just outside Queretaro in central Mexico. Climate is mild semi arid.
