Hover Fly

Toxomerus Geminatus

Description:

This is a hover fly, or flower fly that I found in a patch of flowers at the park. At first I had trouble identifying it but with a help of a friend we narrowed it down to what we believe is Toxomerus Geminatus, a bee mimic.

Habitat:

These guys can be found all over North America.
