Description:

This butterfly was collecting pollen as Heliconius females feed on pollen as well as nectar. They have a very delicate fluttering flight as they go from flower to flower.

Habitat:

feeding along the edge of tropical rainforest

Notes:

Tiger Longwing is also called Hecale Longwing, Golden Longwing, or Golden Heliconian.
