Incurviseta biseriata

Incurviseta biseriata

Description:

A glossy fly with a deep brown thorax and a caramel-coloured head. The thorax and abdomen looked well rounded. Approx. 12mm long.

Habitat:

Suburban back yard on Willow myrtle flowers.

Notes:

Endemic to Tasmania this fly had just taken off from the flower so some is blurred. It has a very weird caramel coloured gadget sticking out from it's forehead.
