White Patch Razorfish

Iniistius aneitensis

Description:

Up to 24 cm (9 in.). Steep blunt snout. Pale gray with large white patch on lower forebody. it may display 3-4 dusky bars. Dives into sand when alarmed and to sleep at night.

Habitat:

Open sand areas near reefs ib 12-92 m. Indo West Pacific.

Hi Jellis, I must admit the fish looks a bit odd but they are actually like this. I wish I had the patience to draw them myself but in fact I prefer to make pictures of them all while scuba diving ;-)

At first it looked like a drawing and fake, then after looking at them on another site and looking back I can see it better. Nice spotting.
