Manduca sexta


Large green caterpillar with white stripes with little black dots, a green tail. About 8 cm long. Very similar to my last spotting but with some differences.

Marvelous spotting, Luis! It appears to be Manduca sexta, but in the stage you have photographed, it is supposed to have a red tail. For that reason, I think Manduca species is a good genus to look around in.

It's a hawkmoth of some kind. I can't believe this one slid through with no favorites!
