Description:

This predominantly black fly from Mucidae family is about 1 cm long with somewhat rounded - elongated body appearance. It has yellow face and orange - amber patches at the base of wings.

Habitat:

Observed late in autumn in a large parc & wooded area in the area surrounding the slopes of Jura Mountain Range. Coniferous woods in alpine environment.
