Pteropus pumilos
Common English name is Little Golden-mantled Flying-fox. This is identified to be near Threatened as its conservation status by the IUCN Red List. Belongs to Family PTEROPODIDAE. This is native to Indonesia and the Philippines.
P. pumilus is associated with primary and well-developed secondary lowland forest (Heaney et al. 1998) and is uncommon outside of forest although on Cebu a roosting site has been recorded from a scrubland area. This species breeds once annually (A. Cariño pers. comm. 2006).

Hi Marta. this is more of species monitoring. It is one of the components for River assessment research project. After getting the measurements and identifying it, we release it.
Nice, Irish! Can you explain us whether these animals are caught for tagging, species monitoring etc? Are you in an organization to help animals in the wild? (just curious :-)
Thanks guys..:)
Nice spotting.
