Scale

Description:

2-3 mm in length and in a cluster of around a dozen, these scale are teardrop in shape and were being farmed by ants which quickly dispersed when I came near. The majority of scale were dark brown, whilst a few were yellow. I suspect the yellow scale were empty cases.

Habitat:

Wattle sapling, protected by ants.
