Dragonfly dismembering

Description:

At first glance it was difficult to tell what this is but on close-up it became clear that ants were efficiently dismatling a dragon fly. Most pices are still there but some are missing and some are well out of place.

Habitat:

Public parkland with mixed native trees and shrubs.

Notes:

Yet to search for species... might be a bit difficult for the dragonfly.

When I was a kid I spent hours watching ants cutting and carrying huge grasshoppers and beetles to their nest. They would leave nothing behind!

I would love to get a time-lapse video of this. Nature wastes nothing.
