A member of the family Elapidae. This species is not often encountered due to its fossorial nature.
Highveld - Grassland.
Found while road cruising 60km north of Bloemfontein in the Free State. Weather conditions were ideal; overcast with a low pressure cell occurring over the region. Snake was found at 21:25.
