Thanks for the help! After some internet investigating, I deduced it must be a jumping spider of some kind. Just the structure of the body and the way it behaved were my clues. I have not been able to find one with the same coloration and markings. Because of where it was located (Lowe's hardware), I knew it could be from anywhere China to the US.

This is a Jumping Spider. It looks very similar to Platycryptus undatus. You can look here and see if it matches:
