Description:

Very large, whitish, extremely scaly mushrooms with a large basal bulb. The entire cap and stem are covered with scales. These were growing near each other but not in a cluster. These are gilled mushrooms but are two young to have opened up

Habitat:

Temperate woodland. Rockwood Park. Virginia.
