Arrowhead click beetle

? Elatichrosis sp Family Elateridae

Description:

About 13mm long, this click beetle had a reddish-brown elongated and tapering abdomen with a ridged eyltra. Thorax had black longitudinal ridges with a lateral spike on either side along the lower margin. Antennae showed serrations.

Habitat:

Spotted feeding on flowers of a Willow Myrtle tree (Agonis flexuosa)

Thanks Martin. Brisbane Insects also suggest that this could be Elatichrosis sp , so I will put this up as such.

That's quite articulated at the thorax-abdomen - good for getting into flowers I suppose.
