Northern Cardinal

Description:

mid-sized songbird. bright red with a black mask on his face.

Habitat:

eastern United States from Maine to Texas and in Canada in the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. south through Mexico, northern Guatemala, and northern Belize.

Notes:

this cardinal was a wild cardinal I spotted while visiting the Virginia Living Museum
