Description:

Yet another fungus with a bird-related moniker! Turkey tail gets its name from the fact that it sort of resembles a turkey's tail. The caps were bracket-shaped, thin, velvety, and had concentric zones of brown, cream, and reddish brown. The pores were white/cream colored.

Habitat:

Growing at the base of deadwood in a deciduous forest.
