Tiny Palm Weevil

Rhodobaenus sanguineus

Description:

Small red weevil, palm weevil-like, but only about 4 mm long. Family Dryophthoridae (Palm Weevils) however, his one does not feed on Palms.

Habitat:

Overgrown field, semi-urban area on the outskirts of the city, 2,200 meters (no palms).

belongs in Palm weevil family - but hosts are not Palms.
