Project Noah Nature School
Plestiodon sp.
Found lying on a large branch which had fallen.
Grass ground cover, some stones and areas.
Photo taken from Kleb trails.
Either a broadhead skink, Plestiodon laticeps, or a five-lined skink, Plestiodon fasciatus. They are both in the Houston area, though five-lined are way more common. I've never seen a broadhead in that area.
