Turkey Tail Fungus

Trametes versicolor

Description:

An extremely common polypore mushroom found in a variety of colors. Some shaped like turkey tails and other shaped like shells. AKA: Coriolus versicolor and Polyporus versicolor. 1-3 mm thick. Pieces vary in size.

Habitat:

Found in open woodlands (swampy) On a dead log. Range: Found throughout the world.
