The Grey-headed Flying Fox is an Australian native, unless of course there's also a species of the same name in Nepal. I can't locate it though if there is. Your spotting is of a large bat, so I reckon it has to be the Indian Flying Fox. Do a google image search for Pteropus giganteus, and at least that way you'll see the same species with it's colour variations and in varying light conditions. I'll put my money on Pteropus giganteus :-)

Hi Dhirendra. I can't find any references for the Grey-headed Flying Foxes in Nepal. From memory, do you recall the colour of the bat's muzzles? Pteropus giganteus has the red fur, but also the black muzzle or the head is entirely black.
