It often appears black but the conspicuous bright red eyes light up the greenish glossy plumage of this beautiful bird . The Asian Glossy Starling is mainly a fruit-eater and also feed on nectar on fruiting trees . It also takes berries and nuts. In Malay Peninsula, there are some reports of these birds feeding on large snails and smashing them against hard surface to break the shells. Spotted this bird on the betel nut palm tree
