Description:

Myxomycetes of red colour, mixed with an unidentified fungus of white colour. A. ferruginea is a small erect slime mould, often found in large colonies, pinkish red, crowded or gregarious, stalked, 1 or 2 mm total height.

Habitat:

On a rotten dead pine trunk.

Notes:
