Description:

Blue dashers are one of the most common dragonflies in the United States. They can be recognized by their blue tail with black tip on the abdomen, large eyes. Males are often seen around pond edges protecting their territory. These blue dashers are eco-friendly--eating hundreds of smaller insects every day.

Habitat:

There were lots of blue dashers by a pond at Kinder Farm Park, Anne Arundel County, Millersville, Maryland
