Description:

Another community of eucalyptus tree hopper which has the orange eyes. It may well be the 'Two lined Gum hopper' but many are nymphs. About 8mm long and living in communities of between 10 to 50.

Habitat:

On well established eucalyptus trees on highway median strip.

Notes:

Also known as Green Gum Leafhopper. The couple in the first picture stayed face-to-face for at least 3 minutes - not sure what they were doing.
