Echinargus isola, Family Lycaenidae
Very tiny Lycaenid butterfly, about 4 mm wing-span. Camouflaged on the dry flower and plant it was sitting on.
Overgrown field, semi-urban area on the outskirts of the city, 2,200 meters.
Yes, very tricky, poor little thing, there is almost nothing left of it's pattern.
It looks like the picture though, and I imagine there is nothing else close? I tried to get him to open it's wings but he didn't want to. It was a little too cold to fly. Thank you so much for the identification.
Tricky one, looks really very worn. I think it is Echinargus isola. Please, verify yourself!
