Description:

These two male mallards where spotted at a protected pond where in the past few years a female has come back nesting. She was nowhere to be seen last year, possibly due to the very cold weather at that altitude.

Habitat:

Pond, alt. 1300 m.

Notes:

Mallards are found up to 2000 m high.
