Beetle Larva/Grub

Description:

Mostly white in colouration, except for head, bristles & legs which are orangish & spots on side of upper segments. Mandibles are well formed & black in colour at tips. The bottom is greyish to black & engorged.

Habitat:

Sandy beach water shoreline close to trees along a large river.

Notes:

I imagine that rough water action has displace these grubs from the base of the trees that were their origin, a number of these guys were lounging on the beach.
