Description:

Shrub with oval dark-green leaves. Flower star-like, with five pure-white petals, about 8 to 12 cm in diameter, and flowers often in pairs.

Habitat:

In tropical forest, in the shade of bigger trees, and very close to water (always seen around the lakes).

Jan 17, 2012 I wrote here: "This is one of many species of plants (and in particular flowers) that I was unable to identify while I lived there - to my great regret. Hopefully, someone can help - thanks in advance." Today is Feb 13, 2022 I finally got this one.
