thomas leaf monkey

Presbytis thomasii

Description:

mother with infant

Habitat:

tropical rainforest

Notes:

a group of thomas leaf monkeys have territory which includes the trees behind my house. i get to see the group change structure..amazing. whilst they are used to seeing humans and are quite relaxed (but vigilant, especially with infants) they generally stay high in the trees.

Are the really young Thomas Leaf Monkeys white like the Surili's that we have in Kerinci (Yellow-handed Mitered Langur - Presbytis melalophos melalophos)?
