Ameraucana Chicken

Gallus gallus domesticus

This is Honeybee she is taking a dirt bath! If you are wondering what dirt baths are they help get parasites off the chicken. It's also really adorable to watch! This breed of chicken was nicknamed the Easter egg layer because this breed lays blue and green eggs.

One of the things this that is different about this breed of chicken is that they have beards that are incredibly soft and they are flyers to! The eggs that a Ameraucana lays are medium blue green eggs.
