Hmm, not on a tree at all! I found it wandering round on a dinner plate in my washing up! But there is a large rain tree outside my door, so I'll check that.
Unless you found it on a gum tree I think you should look at Indian ones only. As far as I know hey are fairly plant specific.
thanks Annvan and Argy Bee. Looked through loads of Treehopper photos (mostly from Qld) but difficult to see one that looks the same, that is found in Maharastra.
