Apis mellifera
We found this swarm of honeybees today at school.
Today we were talking about the bee swarm at school and many questions arose, which maybe you know about... Are they building the hive in that same spot while protecting the bee? When does the hive become dangerous for the children to play around, is it once the bees know the queen is safe? Greetings
when they are in this stage (looking for a new nest) they are practically harmless, the problem is once they stablish in a new place
I see. Thank you. We were trying to have a parent who has a bee farm (I don´t know if you call it like that) to take it but he seems to be taking too long and the children play around...
They make these groups for protecting the queen when they are looking for a new nest
Thank you for the clarification Juan and thank you for the comment Gerardo!
Do you happen to know if they are starting to build a hive in this way?
