Brown Basilisk

Basiliscus vittatus

Description:

A young basilisk basking on a deflated blue basketball

Habitat:

Amongst water weeds and aquatic grasses growing near the shore of a suburban canal

Notes:

You see young lizards way more often than older lizards, which seem to be better at hiding. They seem to pop up anywhere where there's shrubs and trees growing right next to water
