Description:

Lower leaves have roundish stalked leaflets, the end one much the largest. Upper leaves have linear leaflets. Petals roundish, overlapping. Other features: Flowers can be mauve or white. Anthers are yellow. 6 stamens. Sometimes new detachable plants arise from buds in axils of lower leaves

Habitat:

Woodland Garden Sunny Edge; Dappled Shade; Shady Edge; Meadow; Bog Garden

Notes:

The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Bees, flies, lepidoptera.The plant is self-fertile. It is noted for attracting wildlife.
