I believe this to be a Nursery Web Spider, looks very similar to a Wolf Spider. I found it in this very elaborate web, 3 dimensional about a meter in diameter with a "cave" or lair in the center. The first picture shows him standing guard at the center after he had made his "rounds" around the web.
