Atrophaneura hector

Description:

Crimson Rose (Atrophaneura hector) is a large swallowtail butterfly belonging to the subgenus Pachliopta (Roses) of the Red-bodied Swallowtails (genus Atrophaneura).

Notes:

This is usually a very common butterfly in my garden, but this is the first one I have spotted since returning. Today I saw another one.
