Ah true, I forgot there might not be any leaves on it. I think Jopy is right. It looks a bit like Redbud, Cercis canadensis.

Yeah, I agree, but there are actually no leaves on the tree yet... maybe I will go back next month and see if it has any...

Nice flowers! Not sure what it is but adding shots of the leaves and overall tree will help with ID.
