Brown-Banded Hunter Hawkmoth

Description:

Large moth of Sphingidae Family. Looks like it is cut out of wood-patterned veneers that we see on table-tops. One tiny dark brown dot on each wing.

Habitat:

On a bitter gourd vine resting on the metal guard of the AC machine. My garden.

Notes:

I see these moths from time to time in my garden...never the caterpillars though.
